The Art of Noticing

Problem
Create Art, Not Content
In the digital age, we’re trained to capture first and move on: snap a photo, post it, forget it. Our phones turn moments into content, often flattening the experience of actually being there. We rarely return to the images we took on impulse, and even more rarely reflect on what they meant.
Rather than eliminating the phone, what if our devices helped us notice more, not less? What if they encouraged us to slow down, observe, and engage with the world beyond the screen and use it to create?

Wireframing for Interaction

Design 1
Low Fidelity Design
With limited time for design before implementation, our team prioritized interaction before polishing UI and branding.

Brand Redesign
Although this is a fully implemented mobile application, we wanted to explore redesigning the interface. With the project completed, I am revisiting what NoticeArt could look like with my knowledge of branding. implementing a playful and abstract aesthetic for the use of creatives.
Design 2
High Fidelity Design
This design pass exhibits all features. Capture media helps users quickly understand entry contents at a glance, color capture uses an eyedropper-style selection from a photo, texture capture will allow users to crop a square region from an image, audio capture uses a hold-to-record interaction, and photo capture supports both taking a new photo or selecting from a gallery. Gallery access is available for color and texture capture (but not forced to take a picture every time). These features work to keep the focus on where it belongs: the user’s creativity.
